About Favicon generator

Browsers, phones and search engines each want a different icon: a multi-size favicon.ico, small PNGs, a 180 px Apple touch icon, 192 and 512 px icons for Android, and a web app manifest. This makes all of them from one image, zipped, with the HTML to paste into your site.

Square images work best. Non-square images are centred on a transparent square.

Tips for the best result

Use a simple mark

At 16 px, words disappear. Use the icon part of your logo, not the full wordmark.

Start from SVG if you can

An SVG gives perfectly sharp icons at every size. No SVG? Convert your logo with PNG to SVG first.

Check it in dark mode

Browser tabs can be dark. A transparent icon with a dark mark can disappear.
