About PNG to AI

Designers and print suppliers often ask for an AI (Adobe Illustrator) file. Renaming a PNG to .ai doesn't help: it's still pixels. This traces your PNG into real vector shapes and saves them as a PDF-based AI file, the format Illustrator has used since version 9.

Open it in Illustrator and every colour is its own editable shape. It also opens in Affinity Designer, CorelDRAW and Inkscape.
