About SVG to DXF

Many design files come as SVG, but plenty of laser, CNC and CAD software still prefers DXF. This converts your SVG into a DXF made of clean, closed outlines, with one layer per colour.

Your SVG is redrawn as clean outlines first, so effects and odd markup that confuse CAD software are gone, and shared edges are written once.

Tips for the best result

Set the scale after import

DXF units vary between programs. Check the size after importing and scale if needed.

Thin lines become outlines

Strokes in your SVG become thin filled shapes. For engraving single lines, convert the original image with Single line.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Converting and downloading is free, with no signup and no watermark. Everything runs in your browser, so there's no queue and no daily limit.

Does it keep layers?

Each colour goes on its own DXF layer, so you can assign different cut and engrave settings.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Your browser does the conversion on your own device, so the file never reaches our server. That also makes it fast: there's no upload or download wait.
