About SVG to PES

An SVG already has clean shapes, which makes it the best starting point for automatic digitising. Each filled shape becomes fill stitches, narrow shapes become satin, and thin strokes become running stitches.

Choose the finished size in millimetres, then download PES (Brother and Baby Lock), DST (commercial machines) or JEF (Janome).

Tips for the best result

Flat shapes only

Gradients, shadows and photos don't stitch. Simplify the SVG to a few flat colours first.

Bold text

Lettering under about 6 mm tall loses detail. Make text bigger or bolder.

Check it

Open the result in your embroidery software to check size and stitch count.
